This isn't easy, thinking of objects and not people or places that make my heart flutter. I think my list could be longer than 5 but tonight, in this moment, these are the things that come to my mind. So we'll go with it....
Naturally I have to say anything Twilight Saga related. I still have to check it out. I have the books, the DVDs, the Cd's the movie illustrated books, I love it and my heart still skips a beat every time.
A huge comfortable bed, always makes me look twice and imagine. The warmth, the comfort, the safety. A bed can be a place of fun, tranquility or peace. I think a bed can say a lot about you. What type of bed linen you have the style of bed, if it is made or not. A bed is personal, and yet it is something to be shared. Shared with a person, a friend, a teddy or favourite toy. The bed is a very important piece of furniture....
A 'sale' or 'clearence' sign in a department store. Bargains, you have got to love a bargain. Hold on to your credit cards ladies, there is shopping to be done.
A beautifully wrapped present. The thoughtfulness, the expensive (regardless of how big or little), the time and the love that goes into a gift means more to me than the actual gift. I love to give the gifts more than I love to receive them, but still gifts are amazing and everybody loves them. The mystery of what is inside the package, the anticipation of opening the gift, do you rip the paper off or do you sit there for as long as it takes to unwrap it so carefully. Do you save the paper and use it to re wrap another gift?
A card or letter in the mail. Something that comes in a hand written envelope. It is not a bill. Someone, took the time to send you a letter/card, who does that these days with emails and faxes and sms messages. It is so good to get a letter/card in the mail.
I love letters too. We can write each other instead from now on! xo
ReplyDeleteI love these! That bedroom is to die for, have stolen it. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm chuckling at the SALE one, remembering you and Pamela at Chermside that night - the MYER sale.
