I think the Fairies have it.....

I have been waiting to see what Grace, my 2 1/2 year old daughter, was going to "get into".

For my son Josh, it is sports.  Predominantly Rugby League, but lets be honest any sport will do for this boy.
Josh supports the Brisbane Bronco's!
(Second best would be the Gold Coast Titans.)

Josh's soccer team

Zachary for what feels like his whole life has been into cars.  Specifically Disney Cars, with of course Lightning McQueen being the be all and end all of his existence.  As he is getting older he is now into a wider variety of cars.  Some 'cool' matchbox cars are now passable from time to time.

So now we have been waiting to see what Grace might be into.  Will she be a pink girl?
She loves dressing up and hand bags, jewelry, lip gloss, sunglasses and all things 'girly'.

I have bought Grace a few My Little Ponies, and although she likes them, they are neither here nor there.  She likes her baby dolls but there isn't 1 particular one.  She has seen a bit of Dora, doesn't mind the Wiggles but nothing yet as clicked.  Nothing seemed to be the one, until today.....

I think Grace is into Fairies!

About a month ago we got the kids new lamps for their bedroom.  Grace chose a fairy light which she adores.  She loves the fact that when the light is off the fairies eyes are closed and when the light is on their eyes open.
She has owned a Tinkerbell cup for ages but it has always been interchangeable with other cups, until now.

Last night we watched a Tinkerbell Movie.  Today we watched another.  It was so nice sitting with my daughter, playing with her hair as we watched a "chick flick" together.

I guess time will tell but for now it looks like we may have a potential "thing" for Grace to be into.
(I know its a little odd but I AM EXCITED!!)

We can get fairy clothes, fairy duvet covers, fairy bags, fairy toys, plates, cups, shoes, hats, towels oh my goodness, the options are endless........

OK so I will wait and see if it is a phase or a keeper first!

So what are your children into??  Or is there something that you are into and collect??

  1. That day that I had her at the library, while you were picking up Josh...we sat and read that Fairy book she borrowed. We read it and talked about it for a good half hour(a long time for a 2 year old!). We picked out which fairy was Gracie, what colours she would wear, what kind of wand she would have...

    It was so cute. :-)
