The 1 thing that stands out in my mind right now is the love between my beautiful Grace and Pamela Dean!
Today Grace wanted to be cuddled my Melissa and I love when my children also love the people I do and even more so when those people love my children. It made me feel genuine joy seeing Grace and Melissa.
But the love between Grace and Pam, it is special. I am not sure what it is but Grace needs Pam. She talks to Pam on the toy phone and on the real phone. She always asks to see Pam bear. She calls her Pam bear, how cute is that.
Grace actually loves the whole Dean family, and why not they are pretty darn lovable. She worries about Pop's mouth cause it is 'owie', she is now obsessed with the Beach Boys song In My Room that Nana Karen sings to her. Jayden is the best thing since sliced bread. But Pam, she is just a whole other level of love. Don't get me wrong, Grace has also been cross with Pam, she has snubbed her, told her off, maybe even broken Pam's nose.... but she has always reacted like that because she loves Pam so much.
This love affair seems to be a 2 way street.
I really can't speak for Pam but my observations are that Pam loves Grace, she tells her so! She dotes on her, knows her like no one other than me. Pam is amazing with all of my children, but like I said the bond with Grace is special. I love to see them together, to know that Grace is so loved and supported. She can learn so much from Pam who is so glamorous and fun and can dance with Grace and teach her about make up and boys, well maybe I might need to draw the line there LOL as a Mother to see this love it is truly beautiful and a blessing.
So to both Pam and Grace - I love the way you love each other. I am so glad that you can both fulfill a special role in each others life. I don't know how you are ever going to be parted.
Spoken from Pam ;-)... You're right. You did leave out the part where I love you all jut the same. I honestly thought I could never love the same as I do with my own child but your children proved me wrong. I am so very blessed. Thank you in so many ways xoxo
ReplyDeleteAnother here who loves watching the relationship between your two girls. :-) They are so in love, and I can honestly see 14 year old Gracie needing her Pam as much as she does now.
